Ranked second on the squad with a 3.45 ERA in nine appearances • Struck out 18 batters in 15.2 innings • Held opponents to a team-best .157 batting average • Made two starts • Allowed one run on three hits in four innings against Seton Hall on Feb. 23 • Also had a career-high three strikeouts against the Pirates • Tossed 3.1 scoreless innings against Virginia on May 16. Summer 2003: Played for the Fayetteville Swampdogs of the Coastal Plain League • Was 0-1 with a 3.63 ERA in 10 appearances.
