Junior (2002) — Broke a bone in his left ankle on the first day of fall practice prior to the season (Aug. 12, 2002) but healed quickly enough to return to action in mid-September ... Saw his first action as a reserve against Yale on Sept. 13 and made his first start in the Sept. 15 win over Yale ... Also suffered a hamstring injury late in the season, missing a total of five games with the injury ... Played in 17 games and started 16.

Sophomore (2001) — Received UNC’s Nicholas Douglass Potter Coaches’ Award in 2001 ... Saw action in 23 games, starting 22 as a defensive midfielder ... Tallied assists in NCAA Tournament wins over Towson and Indiana (the game-winner) in the national title game ...
