2006-07: Carolina's starter at 165 pounds • Recorded a team-best 30-7 record • Finished the regular season ranked 16th nationally by InterMat and was rated as high as 12th during the season • Posted a 13-2 mark in dual action and was 5-1 versus the ACC • Took third at the ACC Championships with a 3-1 record, including a pin of Virginia's Damian Johnson (1:20) in the third-place bout • Also placed second at the Michigan State Open, third at the Nittany Lion Open and fourth at the Southern Scuffle • Recorded victories over No. 18 Rocky Cozart of Michigan State and No. 14 Max Dean of Indiana at the Michigan State Open • Won 12 of his first 13 bouts and also posted a nine-match winning streak during the dual portion of the schedule.
