Throughout the 2002-03 season, senior forward Jennifer Thomas will provide TarHeelBlue.com readers with an inside look at the Carolina women's basketball program. This installment is her third of the season.

Aloha! (I'm trying to work on my Hawaiian lingo ...)

Anyway, today I would like to start my entry off by welcoming Liz Coughran back. Liz tore her ACL the first day of practice and went home to California to have the surgery done. She got back into town late Friday night. So, "Lizzie Poo" if you're reading this WE ARE GLAD THAT YOU'RE BACK!!!

This week has been pretty hectic. Since we're going to Hawaii in less than two weeks, I have been trying to get all of my assignments done so that I won't have to look at any homework while I'm in Hawaii. I swear it feels like this is the most homework I've done since I've been at Carolina. But I just keep reminding myself that I will be in Hawaii, and that is by far the only thing keeping me motivated.

Besides the fact that everyone is trying to finish out the semester strong, we have also been having some good practices. After our last exhibition game we knew that we would have to pick it up in practice. We needed to be more aggressive and mentally tough. This week in practice, I think we really stepped it up and made each other better. One practice went so well that Coach Hatchell rewarded us by cutting out half of the practice!!!

Well, since I have tons of homework to finish, this entry is going to have to come to an end. As one of my favorite cartoon characters would say, "That's all folks!"
