CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The ESPN The Magazine Women's Soccer Academic All-America Team released Tuesday by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) includes at least two members of the University of North Carolina women's soccer squad for the third successive year as junior midfielder Yael Averbuch and junior goalkeeper Anna Rodenbough were both named second-team academic All-Americas in the national voting.

Rodenbough and Averbuch are both repeat members of the team. Rodenbough was also a second-team choice last year while Averbuch moved up to the second team this year after being voted on to the third team a year ago.

Rodenbough, a goalkeeper from Greenbsoro, N.C., majors in applied science and biomedical engineering at UNC. She has a 3.58 cumulative grade point average. Averbuch is a psychology major from Upper Montclair, N.J. She has a 3.69 cumulative grade point average.

In 2006, senior forward Heather O'Reilly was named first team, Rodenbough second team and Averbuch third team. O'Reilly was also the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America of the Year for women's soccer.

In 2005, O'Reilly was a second-team selection and senior forward Lindsay Tarpley was a third-team choice.
